Cyphr is a cannabis publication that centers education, culture, international developments in the cannabis industry.
Based in NYC, Cyphr takes a deep dive into the culture of cannabis, the impact of its developing markets, and the new ways cannabis is shaping people’s lives - from Brooklyn to Bangkok.
While there are no shortage of publications that prioritize the pretty parts of legalization (and the lucrative potential cannabis poses for the economy) -
Cyphr instead hopes to paint a clearer, more encompassing picture of cannabis in the modern day world. By exploring the history of cannabis, providing education to fellow potheads, and approaching the legal industry with a lens of accountability, Cyphr is a love letter to cannabis in all her forms.

When it comes to cannabis, Cyphr’s goal is simple: to help cultivate a healthier, more authentic picture of cannabis culture.
Our three missions are three ways we aim to
do exactly that. Based on our principles, each mission is founded on our one biggest belief:
that cannabis should come before corporations

Cannabis consumers have the right to transparency - they deserve to know what they’re smoking and how it works. For Cyphr, accessible cannabis education comes first.
By providing cannabis education that can make sense to everyone, Cyphr aims to arm every user with the weed know-how that helps them buy smarter - and cultivate healthier relationships with our favorite herb.

Since the 60’s and 70’s, Cannabis culture has been shaped and defined by the people who hold it most closely - everyday people, political activists, communities of color, medical users, and veterans (though this is no exhaustive list.)
When it comes to cannabis, the economic wins of wealthy, corporate, cannabis tycoons mean nothing to those of us who - y’know, actually smoke weed.Cyphr provides a platform for those often overlooked in the conversation of legal markets and regulation. By building a space that puts community before corporations, Cyphr envisions a future for cannabis that’s made with weed smokers in mind.

We believe two things: Legal markets shouldn’t be let off the hook. And the legalization of weed shouldn’t benefit the wealthy.
Modern cannabis culture was born from a place of political empowerment, personal freedom, and most of all - equality amongst people. As cannabis legalization becomes wide-spread worldwide, it is up to us to decide what kind of industry we hope to see - by holding legal markets responsible for the promises they make.
Cyphr approaches the legal market with a lens of accountability, cultural equity, and economic fairness - so the future of cannabis can be brighter for all of us.
